The Next Steps After Putting Your Home Under Agreement

  • Buyers home inspections and testing
  • Appraisal will be scheduled by the buyer's lender
  • Choose an attorney that you would like to have prepare your legal documents
  • Your lawyer will contact you to get some information about your current mortgage holder
  • Contact our Concierge, Jo Henning-Dyer at 603.643.9403.
  • START PACKING!
  • One the appraisal is complete the lawyers will schedule a closing time and prepare the final paperwork.
  • Contact any and all utility companies during this time to have service turned off on the day of closing. Include electric, cable/satellite, telephone, water, internet service, gas/oil and home owners insurance.
  • HUD Statement or Closing Statement from the lawyers will usually arrive 24-48 hours prior to closing. It will outline every cost to you as a seller and calculate the amount that will be owed to you at closing.
  • Closing Day! Closings typically take between 45-60 minutes. As a seller you may come @ 15 minutes behond the scheduled start. Buyers will have much more paperwork to sign than you!
